Lisa Donofrio, MD is an internationally renowned Cosmetic Surgeon and board-certified Dermatologist, practicing advanced techniques in liposuction, dermal fillers, and fat grafting. Dr. Donofrio is a frequent speaker and lecturer at various conferences, and additionally shares her knowledge with other members of her field through her work as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Dermatology at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT and as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Dermatology at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA.
Dr. Donofrio actively works with other experts in the medical aesthetic realm; she is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and also a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery—where she previously served on the Board. Dr. Donofrio is a sought-after lecturer and speaker, and in the past has spoken about surgical techniques, fillers, liposuction and fat transfer within her professional societies and academies.
Beyond practicing and speaking, Dr. Donofrio is currently an Assistant Editor for The Journal of Dermatologic Surgery, as well as a 2 time previous guest editor for the “Fillers” issues. She has been published in multiple peer reviewed journals and textbook chapters, and has also been covered in a variety of health and beauty publications, including The New York Times, Allure, Health, and The Wall Street Journal, among others.
Dr. Donofrio received her medical degree from Tulane University where she also completed her dermatology residency. Currently she runs Tulane’s aesthetic dermatology teaching clinic for the residents. Dr. Donofrio also practices in Connecticut, where she teaches liposuction and cosmetic procedures to the Yale dermatology residents.
